Meet Kate.

She’s a daughter, a wife, and a mother.
A friend, an advocate, and a doer.

Kate Schaffer is never one to back down from a challenge, and she’s often the first to step up when work needs to be done.

During her time as a community organizer for the National SAFE KIDS Campaign, Kate honed her ability to bring a diverse community together to benefit children. As Executive Director for the Campaign, she’s no stranger to public policy and leading the way to connect a community with a message, hard work, and a strong plan.

Since returning to Arkansas Kate has dedicated many volunteer hours to the Arkansas Children’s Hospital, ACH Foundation Board and as a Circle of Friends Member. She is also a former Board Member of the Ouachita Children’s Center. Kate has spent years working to build access to the arts in communities across the state, serving on the Boards of the Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival, Arkansans for the Arts and the Hot Springs Area Cultural Alliance.

Kate’s experiences in the workforce, in the community, in her church, and in her newest adventure — as a caregiver for her elderly mother — have all led her to run for office so that she can help build a better Bentonville and Bella Vista.

Why Kate is running for Arkansas State House

Kate Schaffer is a 4th-generation Arkansan.

She relies on her Arkansas roots in her work toward a healthier, safer, brighter, and fairer Arkansas. Kate’s community service grows out of her belief in John Wesley’s Three Simple Rules: Do No Harm, Do Good, and Stay in Love with God

As a State Representative, she will work toward a Better Arkansas for All through hard work, service to others, and simply doing what’s right.
